so unless I attack her computer no updates
but sleeping! and umm beaches perhaps, and board games (...?), and mead (my mom laughed when I asked if I could take it...none of us really enjoyed it when we tried it two years ago, though apparently it was really the only alcohol she had in college, and she reccomends it with popcorn), and um...food?
speaking of which I ate food last night! With my dad!
but to back track to the morning yesterday...
after I had caused myself to be running late by over sleeping only to get really uncomfortable dreams in return and then writing an entyr here (which was really stupid)
the morning continued to suck by amongst various other things putting a bug with far more legs than necessary in my sink
I was too rushed to deal with it, but when I returned this evening it wasn't there
but anyways sine I hadn't had time to pull breakfast together I went to Starbucks to get a skim iced caramel machiatto with the hope of improving my day
and it did!
I grumbled something about a lousy morning and I got it for free!
thank you starbucks for making my day better...though you didn't make it skim...but I couldn't complain
the day really did improve from there
though work was crazy I actually felt useful so I'm counting that on the good side
but back to dinner with my dad
he decided (I think in some attempt at appealing to my preferences) we should try and find somewhere to eat in the East Village
of course I'm not so adept at finding good sit down places around there, since my goal is usually cheap and/or open late
it's funny walking around there with him becuase he definetly has hiw own memories of the area
we ended up getting Italian food, and he even bought me a glass of wine
lots of chatting and a walk to the Union Square Starbucks where I tried the Green Tea Frappacino (not worth it) later I actually am feeling a little better about some stuff that's been bothering me for awhile
we talked about the state of modern music, good movies we'd seen recently, etc.
while sitting in the restaurant I saw a math teacher from my highschool with a guitar (or actuakly probably a bass since that's what I think he plays...but who can tell in a case?) on his back, mind you he never taught me, but due to certain candids in our yearbook I had to try really hard not to laugh
while walking to Union Square I saw a second year (or I guess third year now) architect from Cornell but he didn't acknowledge my existence, and I only saw him out of the corner of my eye
it was startling though
umm yeah rushed entry here
I need to pull things together to get off to Nantucket..well actually to get to Grand Central, to take a train to Connecticut to get picked up
